Food came before utensils. The same dish was ordered, but the sizes were completely different. The side order was wrong twice. Now I remember why I stopped dining at Aston's.

I had a terrible experience at Aston Specialist (Punggol East Coast branch) yesterday, which also happened to be my birthday. The lady in black assigning seats had a constantly grumpy face and completely ignored us when we tried to get her attention. The service was extremely unwelcoming and rude. To make things worse, the food was a letdown. I ordered fish, but it arrived completely cold and dried up—like it had been sitting out for ages. None of our dishes were served hot, which ruined the entire meal. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality and service. I'm definitely not coming back and would not recommend it, especially for special occasions. It was a huge disappointment on what was supposed to be a happy day.

Glad Astons opened an outlet near me. Although newly opened, the food quality and service are consistent. You order via a QR code on the table and pay online with a card. I'm not sure if they accept cash because they still have a cashier booth at the entrance; they probably do. I ordered a New York strip but was unable to input a special request in the order. I informed the manager on duty about my request, and the manager passed it along to the kitchen. The food was as expected and tasted great. It was served hot, as it should be. Service was quick and there were no frills.
