Reviews for Astons Specialities @ Punggol Coast Mall

We visited Aston's at the new Punggol Coast Mall on a Sunday evening. The wait time was about 30 minutes for a table, and a further 15 minutes for food – which we felt was reasonable.
However, the queuing area was not well-ventilated, despite being an open area. One suggestion would be a digital queue system so diners can walk around while waiting for their turn, which would likely improve the experience. The usual Astons menu applied, and we were satisfied with the grill quality of the chicken dishes. 4/5 stars for the food, as some sides like potato salad were not available.

"My steak and crispy chicken were okay, but my sister's grilled chicken was very undercooked. When we informed the staff, they didn’t apologize. The second plate they served was still raw. We definitely won't be coming back. After checking other reviews, I noticed similar complaints about undercooked meat; this seems to be a recurring issue."

I absolutely love this branch of Aston! It is one of the best I've ever been to. Not only does it have a relaxing environment, but it also has a comforting seating arrangement. Before we stepped in, we had to wait outside because there was a queue. Although it was very hot outside, once we entered the restaurant, the service was very good. After barely 5 minutes, we were able to enter. When I stepped inside, I immediately felt welcomed by the friendly staff. They served us very well, accommodating our every request. After we ordered, they quickly served all the food without a long wait. Not only was the food still hot, but it was also scrumptious! To anyone looking for a good Western restaurant, I highly recommend this one! Normally, we barely finish our food, however, their food was so good that we managed to finish it! I bet the staff were very tired after a day of work, especially since they were standing, but they still managed to keep a smile on their faces. The environment is also very welcoming. With their comfortable chairs and cleanliness, we felt comfortable. The benches had cushions for our backs, and the floor was neat and clean. One of the workers, Sheena, was extremely friendly. She talked to us, helped us when we didn’t know how to order, served us, and was very polite. To conclude, I highly recommend this Aston branch.

This is a newly opened store in a new estate. It's located on level 2. It's pretty near the exit of the MRT station, but it might take a while to find, as the mall is big. The restaurant isn't the biggest, but it's a decent size. Come early, as it's apparently very popular with the students here, even before the offices open. Your favorite menu items are still available. The food quality is good. Staff can be busy due to the crowd. Come early.

So glad this new venue has opened! Its eatery started opening in early March 2025. You can go and try it at its nearby eatery.
I was the second person to try it. There was a long queue while waiting, but the staff service was friendly and fast, serving my all-time favorite root beer float while I waited for my teriyaki chicken chop.
The familiar dine-in ambiance and service haven't changed since the Cathay days ❤

We went after the lunch peak and were seated quickly. The friendly staff, Pei En, helped us check the menu and recommend how to customize a meatless spaghetti dish. The food arrived quickly. The pasta serving was large, and the broccoli was also generous. The tomato puree was slightly sweet for me. 🥦🍝
The Fish with Herbs was great, especially with the side dishes, Tasty Rice and Baked Potato - both were very well done 💯.
It was a nice experience! The only thing off was the lighting; our table was darker than the surrounding area.

Went on last Good Friday and it was crowded. I probably waited about 10 minutes in the queue.
Ordered via QR code at our table and paid before the food was served.
All good. 👍🏼

The dining room is really spacious and Aston-style.
Food:
1) Carbonara: The texture is good, but it's not flavorful enough. The bacon smell is hardly noticeable, and my husband found the bacon a bit fatty. Score: 7/10
2) Ribeye (medium): My serving, as shown in the picture, had a significant amount of tendon for a ribeye. When I asked the first time, the waitress said it was a ribeye. When I insisted a second time and showed her the amount of tendon, my dish was exchanged.
The exchanged dish left only the tendons. The meat was cooked medium with some juiciness, so there was some good dining in that. But I guess Aston only serves ribeye with tendons. 7/10
3) Side dishes:
Onion rings: ...lol... One side was hot, and one side was cold when you bit into it. 2/10
Mac and cheese: If you get this wrong in a western food restaurant, there's nothing to ask for. 8/10
4) Drinks - mango frizz pop: Surprisingly, this was the best! 9/10. The drink is the best in a western meal family restaurant... lol.

Had an early dinner at this place, and it was somewhat disappointing compared to the other Astons Specialties outlets.
We ordered two prime ribeye x’tra cuts (one medium and one medium-rare). We received the medium steak first, and the medium-rare steak arrived about 15 minutes later. Both steaks were bland. The onion rings were soggy, and the mashed potatoes were also bland. I only took one bite of the mashed potatoes.
Overall, the location is good, and the interior of the restaurant is nice, but the food isn't great.

Dear Sheena,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at Astons Punggol Coast Mall during my recent visit.
From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, you exceeded my expectations. We had a huge group of 14, and you offered a private corner which was more cooling for us, knowing it was hot while we were queuing outside. Thanks for being so attentive and for the superb service. Your branch will definitely be our first choice if we visit Astons! Thank you once again for such a memorable experience!
Best regards,
Amanda & family
