JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Youth Worker focuses on providing emotional support to youths in psychological distresses and actively involves the caregivers of youth in their recovery journeys. He/She will conduct mental health screening, use required outcome tools and to provide psycho-social intervention to youths. He/She will be involved in the casework supervision to junior staff and provide guidance in the content creation of talks, workshops, group works.
He/She will ensure the team will meet the requirement of AIC in regards to screening, documentations, timelines and prepares quarterly reports to AIC. He/She will involve in the volunteer engagement and development.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and conduct outreach, ie. talks, workshops, group works to the schools, community and stakeholders to targeted groups of youths who are experiencing mental health distresses.
- Conduct mental health screening, use required outcome tools and to provide psycho-social intervention to youths through individual sessions, group activities, family and peer support.
- Provide care coordination and service linkage to youths with or who are at risk of mental health issues with the appropriate resources and support including Caregiver support.
- Maintain and document records of groupwork, case sessions and outreaches.
- Plan, implement and monitor the service-related processes; care process, referral and follow-up.
- Assign new referrals, follow up on progress, discharge or referral to other services.
- Provide guidance to junior staff on engagement plans, talks, workshops, group works outlines and session contents.
- Provide casework supervision to junior staff, regular check-in regarding work. This includes staff meeting the requirement of AIC in regards to screening, assessments, documentations and timelines.
- Prepare quarterly reporting to AIC β data collection, preparation of reports; analysis.
- Involve in the volunteer engagement and development.
- Establish the network with other stakeholders like community partners and/or related agencies to build collaborative partnerships and better facilitate care and support for clients and caregivers.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Psychology, Counselling or related fields
- 2 years relevant experience
- Passion to work with youths and mental health concerns
- Teamplayer with excellent organisational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative, innovative and adventurous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media and related applications
- Experience in social media outreach is an advantage
