Job Title: Assistant Teacher (Early Childhood)

Job Description:

Catholic Kindergarten is looking for Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children. They assist in the implementation of daily lessons and routines, contribute to classroom management, and help in the care and development of the children in alignment with the centre’s philosophy and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support the Lead Teacher in managing the classroom, ensuring safety and order.
• Help maintain a clean and conducive learning environment.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, mealtime, nap time, and other routines.
• Foster positive and respectful interactions with children.
• Observe and document children’s behaviour, development, and progress under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
• Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and learning corners.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and centre events.
• Comply with all ECDA, SPARK, and centre policies and procedures.
• Share chinese story with children.

Requirements:

• Minimum Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE) .
• Preferably enrolled in or completed ACEY (Advanced Certificate in Early Years) or L1 Certification by ECDA.
• Passion for working with young children ( 3-4 years old).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.
• Physically able to perform caregiving tasks and supervise active play.
