Job Purpose
The role is to identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers for mechanical components, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, technical compliance, and timely delivery to support production and engineering needs.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze mechanical drawings to support sourcing decisions and breakdown processes effectively.
- Perform cost estimation and analysis for sheet metal and machined components; identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
- Convert SAP MRP-generated BOM (Bill of Materials) requirements into accurate and timely purchase orders.
- Perform data analysis to support sourcing strategies; apply logical thinking to evaluate procurement performance and vendor capabilities.
- Assess and mitigate supply risks, ensuring continuity and resilience in the supply chain.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance and relationships; lead supplier performance reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production to align sourcing activities with business needs.
- Support contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and maintaining key supplier agreements.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in all sourcing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Automation, or other related science and engineering disciplines
- Over 3 years of experience in sourcing and supplier development roles
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings,
- Strong commercial negotiation skills; capable of cost analysis and estimation for sheet metal and machining products.
- Proficient in data analysis with good logical thinking ability.
- Strong communication, analytical, judgmental, and collaboration skills; resilient under pressure.
- Familiar with procurement processes and SAP system; background in large-scale manufacturing enterprises is preferred.
- Excellent coordination skills; detail-oriented, conscientious, responsible, and a strong team player.
- High professional ethics and integrity.
- Optimistic, loyal, trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication.
- Required: Advanced Excel ,familiar with SAP.
- Comfortablre working from office (Monday - Friday)
