Social Work Associate - Punggol/ Preschool

Metta Preschool Punggol has been offering specialized early intervention programs since 2010, catering to children aged 2 to 6 years old of all backgrounds. Our focus is on supporting children diagnosed or suspected with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorders (ASD), global developmental delays, or intellectual disabilities. With a multidisciplinary approach, we aim to help every child achieve their developmental potential through tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEP) across six domains: fine motor, gross motor, adaptive, cognitive, social communication, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide professional social work services to families, offering guidance and support.
• Conduct family interviews, means testing, and home visits as required.
• Manage administrative duties, including social reports, case notes, and documentation in both physical and digital systems.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure high-quality services for children.
• Maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity while delivering services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NCSS/MSF/ECDA standards).
• Actively participate in team discussions and parent meetings to contribute to children’s progress.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Receive mentorship from experienced social workers and participate in relevant training programs.
• Support volunteer management initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc duties assigned by management or senior social workers.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and families. Experience in a preschool setting is a plus.
• Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Social Work.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team, and commitment to professionalism and responsibility.
