Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the overall workflow of the workshop and production department. This includes overseeing daily operations and assisting with workforce allocation, handling SAP system-related tasks for the production department, and supporting the Production Manager to achieve operational efficiency and production goals.
Responsibilities:
Workshop and Production Management
- Supervise and manage end-to-end workshop processes to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet output and quality targets.
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies in the production workflow.
Workforce Coordination
- Assisting in planning and adjusting manpower schedules to match production needs and deadlines.
- Providing guidance and support to team members while collaborating with team leaders to ensure effective personnel utilization, fostering collaboration and maximizing productivity.
SAP Management
- Oversee the production department’s SAP operations, ensuring accurate data entry and updates.
- Generate and interpret SAP reports to monitor production metrics and performance.
- Assist in solving and optimizing SAP-related processes in the production department.
Support for the Production Manager
- Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to align with departmental goals.
- Provide operational insights and reports to support decision-making.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring production strategies and improvements.
Quality and Safety Compliance
- Ensure production processes adhere to established quality standards and safety protocols.
- Address any quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct regular safety checks and promote a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement
- Identifying areas for process optimization within the workshop and production department to improve overall productivity.
- Implementing the best practices and innovative solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and quality control.
Cross Department Collaboration
- Maintain close communication with the purchasing, sales, logistics, and process departments to coordinate production activities and follow up on project progress.
- Facilitate smooth coordination to meet organizational objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Familiar with the production processes and workflows in manufacturing enterprises, with an understanding of relevant production equipment and process requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word), with strong data processing and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SAP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication and team coordination skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of workshop and production department operations.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and safety standards.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
