Summary of Role
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment within our production facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality and production targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes:
Develop and refine processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-capacity production.
- Evaluate equipment and technologies:
Assess new equipment and emerging technologies to determine their suitability for improving process efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
- Develop process control strategies:
Establish and implement control systems to ensure consistent quality and safe operation of production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement:
Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and provide practical, data-driven solutions to optimize performance and minimize waste.
- Cross-functional collaboration:
Partner with teams across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety to implement and maintain effective manufacturing processes.
- Documentation and reporting:
Maintain detailed records of process workflows, performance metrics, and improvements. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress.
- Training and support:
Develop and deliver training programs for production staff to ensure they are proficient in operating and maintaining processes and equipment, with adherence to current safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proven experience with process control strategies and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and tools is preferred.
