Principal Digital Verification Engineer

This role will include defining the ways of working between pre-silicon verification and post silicon validation teams . This will include verification methodologies to ensure production criteria of the chip alongside stimulus re-usability from pre-silicon to post silicon validation teams . This role will also require strong engagement in bringing firmware into pre-silicon and FPGA world to allow complex wireless functionalities to be verified pre-silicon as well as using FPGA platform , identify complex design issues like performance bottlenecks , security holes/lifecycle issues & architecture changes necessary to improve system availability

Responsibilities

• MCU and Wireless SoC Verification Strategy with Post Silicon collaboration
• Create and execute the test plan with high degree of predictability and re-usability
• FPGA Strategy pre-silicon + post silicon enablement for software
• Firmware enablement strategy from pre-silicon to post silicon
• Identify design/architecture weakness with multi-core and hardware virtualized designs
• Identify holes in security architecture with a strong pre-silicon FPGA strategy e.g. boot rom , lifecycle verification strategies optimized between RTL and Emulation

Skills Needed:

• 15+ years in pre-silicon verification and emulation space
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Verilog, System-Verilog, UVM, and C/C++
• Knowledge of digital design, ARM, or RISC-V architecture and AMBA bus protocols
• Knowledge of design debug over emulation and FPGA systems ( build + design debug )
• Knowledge of multi-core architectures and high speed data path design options and tradeoffs
• Knowledge of bring-up of communication interfaces over emulation/fpga builds for software enablement
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python, Tcl, and shell
