Nursing Officer

Job Description:

• Supervise the Healthcare Assistants with regards to their duties according to their roster assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) including bathing, transferring and feeding of residents and cleanliness of the Home’s compound such as residents’ rooms, bathrooms, Maggie Murphy Memorial Hall, computer room, and corridors etc.
• Oversee, supervise, train and coach Healthcare Assistants and junior nurses to increase their work competence.
• Serve, supervise and help to feed residents during mealtimes.
• Work with the ENs/NAs to order medication and medical supplies.
• Administer oral/topical medication and injections where necessary.
• Conduct regular rounds in the Home.
• Prepare and attend to any Doctor or Allied Health Professional’s visit when required.
• Timely documentation in the Care Management System.
• May be required to assume other shift and be on call duty.
• Orientation of visitors when necessary.
• Record Donations-in-kind and in-cash in the book provided.
• Supervision of volunteers and organized groups in the cleaning of the Home.
• Contact contractor such as the plumber and electrician after office hours when needed.
• Assist CNO to maintain discipline and well-being of the Nursing Team.
• To perform any other tasks assigned by Chief Nursing Officer Director of Client Services

Job Requirement:

• The person qualifying for this position should be a Registered Nurse.
• He/She should have considerable years of working as a Registered Nurse, with valid accreditation from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• He/she should be a consistent good performer with good knowledge in Nursing; equip with good communication and interpersonal skill and be able to display competency to perform role of higher responsibilities.
