Manufacturing Design Engineer (Opto-mechanical)

Job Responsibilities

• Manage optical alignment equipment and related alignment methodology for the latest generation of optical wafer inspection tools
• Identify ways to improve yield and predictability of the mechanical parts and integration process
• Participate in the integration and troubleshooting of the manufacturing issues of the mechanical systems and subsystems
• Work with suppliers to resolve component/part quality problems in a timely manner.
• Assist Quality and Purchasing departments in driving supplier quality improvements and cost reductions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor/Master in mechanics with at least 3-5 years mechanical design experience
• Hands-on experience in assembly, alignment, calibration, system integration, and testing of mechanical subsystems, prefer optical-mechanics
• Experience in developing manufacturing procedures and leading a team in assembling (optical) mechanical systems
• Excellent project management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• A self-driven individual with keen technical mind, positive attitude and strong team player
• 25 % travelling required
