Job Scope:
You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining highly specialized, automated industrial machinery and custom tooling systems across multiple production lines, operating under extreme precision tolerances. This position demands expert-level multidisciplinary engineering knowledge (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, and software integration) and the ability to deliver continuous operational excellence in high-pressure, high-throughput manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Machinery Design & Commissioning: Lead the complete lifecycle of custom industrial machinery — from requirements gathering, CAD design, FEA simulation, and prototyping to full-scale commissioning and post-deployment optimization.
- Tooling Innovation Under Tight Tolerances: Develop high-precision custom tools and jigs (tolerance: ±0.005mm) for CNC, robotic, and multi-axis assembly operations, ensuring zero-defect rates.
- Cross-System Automation Integration: Interface machinery with SCADA systems, robotic arms, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), and AI-based quality inspection modules.
- Downtime Diagnosis Under Fire: Perform real-time fault analysis of mechanical, electrical, and control system failures under extreme time constraints, minimizing production downtime (<10 minutes mean time to repair).
- Lifecycle & Compliance Mastery: Own the full machinery lifecycle including predictive maintenance systems, ISO/IEC compliance (e.g., ISO 13849-1, IEC 60204), and continuous upgrade paths.
- Project Leadership Under Constraint: Simultaneously lead multiple CAPEX-heavy machinery installation projects across different global sites, under tight deadlines and with limited resources.
- Hands-On Field Troubleshooting: Work in harsh, high-noise, high-temperature, or cleanroom environments to physically inspect and fine-tune complex machinery systems.
- Documentation & Technical Reporting: Produce comprehensive mechanical schematics, operation manuals, risk assessments, and failure mode & effect analyses (FMEA) for every machine deployed.
Must-Have Competencies:
- Expertise in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and advanced CAM programming.
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and fatigue analysis.
- Advanced PLC programming and HMI interface experience.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 standards, IIoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA).
- Ability to independently conduct root-cause failure analysis and implement permanent countermeasures.
- Readiness to travel to remote or offshore industrial sites at short notice.
