INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT DESIGNER (COEHL)

About the Role:

As our product designer, you’ll be responsible for utilising your keen understanding of female fashion and lifestyle trends to create on-brand products that are smart, easy to use and visually appealing. You should be comfortable defining product specifications, analysing how each product ties in with market demands and consumer preferences, creating digital or hand drawings and producing fully functional products.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and review all products, prototypes, samples, and communicate changes to factories

* Research current trends, prints and colours and perform design analysis

* Present concepts through digital or hand-drawn sketches, mood and colour boards

* Execute and oversee the entire design and production process from research and planning, to designing and budgeting for the actual launch

* Liaise and coordinate with factories on production-related matters

* Maintain close working relationships with factories and suppliers to remain updated on the status of samples and orders

* Coordinate photoshoots for new product launches

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of product design experience

* Skilled in 3D CAD applications (NX, Rhino, Alias, Solidworks, etc)

* Proficient in 2D design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, etc)

* Good command of English and Mandarin to communicate with suppliers in China

* Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Strong aesthetic sense of product form, material and finishing

* Interest in women’s fashion and related industries

* Able to anticipate future industry trends and study consumer behaviour

* Additional Skilled in 3D CAD applications is a bonus (NX, Rhino, Alias, Solidworks, etc)

* Diploma or Degree in Fashion / Product Design preferred
