Job Responsibilities:
1. Crew Recruitment & Deployment:
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and shortlisting qualified seafarers for various vessel positions.
- Supporting the coordination of interviews, medical exams, and document verification for new hires.
- Maintain an updated database of available crew and their qualifications.
2. Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all crew documents (licenses, certificates, visas, and training records) are valid and up-to-date.
- Assist in preparing and processing employment contracts, travel arrangements, and crew visas.
- Verify compliance with STCW, MLC 2006, IMO, and flag-state regulations.
3. Crew Change Coordination:
- Support crew sign-on/sign-off logistics, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Liaise with port agents, immigration, and vessel masters for smooth crew transitions.
4. Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of crew contracts, payroll, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in payroll processing by verifying crew hours, overtime, and allowances.
Requirements:
- Higher Nitec or Diploma in Maritime Studies, HR, or related field
- Entry-level candidates with relevant internships experience in crewing, manning, or shipping operations may be considered
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of maritime labour laws, STCW, and IMO regulations is added advantage
- Possess a strong desire to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to the constantly evolving demands of the job.
- Office-based with occasional extended hours to handle crew emergencies or time-sensitive travel arrangements.
- May require coordination across different time zones. Open to working in a maritime environment, including shipboard visits, as well as occasional weekend or after-hours work.
