Stride For Good 2026 starts at 6.30am on Saturday 17 October at Nexus, the open-air plaza of Punggol Coast Mall in Punggol Digital District. Bethesda CARE Centre is marking 30 years with a 3km fun run and a first-time 6km competitive loop that goes into Coney Island. Registration closed at the end of August. If you already have a bib, this is the morning briefing for 榜鹅海岸商场.
BCARE's own pages at sfg.sg and bcare.org.sg/sfg26 still say the event will proceed. They are watching the haze and will post changes on Facebook and Instagram at @bcaresg. Check that account before you leave the house.
How Saturday morning is timed
The official window is 6.30am to 11am. JustRunLah, which lists the race, publishes a rundown that fits that window.
- 6.30am registration at Nexus
- 7.30am warm-up
- 8.00am welcome
- 8.20am flag-off for the 6km
- 8.25am flag-off for the 3km
- 9.00am fringe activities
- 10.20am blessing draw
- 11.00am end
Nexus sits at street level next to Punggol Coast MRT, NE18. Both station exits open into Punggol Digital District. The plaza is often treated as a 24-hour public space, which is why a 6.30am call time works here when an indoor atrium would still be dark and locked.
The new 6km goes into Coney Island
Until 2025 the physical event was 3km or 5km. This year BCARE added a 6km competitive category for ages 14 and up at $40. The 3km fun run stays the family distance. $35 for 13 and above. $15 for ages 7 to 12. Free for 6 and under if a parent or guardian registers them.
Coney Island Park, 科尼岛, opens at 7am and locks at 7pm. An 8.20am flag-off is after the west gate opens. Stay on the park trails. NParks still bans camping and fishing. Haw Par Beach Villa is closed to the public. The 3km stays closer to the Digital District if you have a pram or a slower walker.
Nexus is the village, not the indoor play court
The start, fringe booths, blessing draw and BCARE beneficiary performances sit at Nexus. That is the open plaza beside the station, not the air-conditioned Level 1 play court with the mushroom fountain. If you follow shop signs into the mall you have walked the wrong way.
Guest of honour is Mr Baey Yam Keng, Mayor of the North East District. Catalyst Performance, which wrote up the 30th-anniversary edition in September, also notes an ActiveSG mobility check before the flag-off. Treat that as a screen, not a coaching session.
A registered adult gets an event T-shirt, race pack, bib, finisher medal, and entry to the fringe and blessing draw. Children 6 and under get the fringe only. BCARE wants $500,000 this year for milk powder and diaper aid, children's programmes, active ageing, and a psychiatric day rehab caseload that covers more than 2,000 people a year.
If you are not on the start list
You cannot buy a last-minute bib. You can still give. BCARE is an Institution of a Public Character. Donations are 2.5 times tax deductible if you put your NRIC or FIN on the transfer. PayNow UEN S96SS0198KD01 with SFG26 in the reference, or use give.asia/sfg26 and giving.sg. There is a separate 30km walk, run, cycle or skate you can log anywhere from 1 July to 31 October.
When the plaza clears at 11am, 榜鹅海岸熟食中心 at 84 Punggol Way is already serving. Forty stalls, 6am to 10pm. FairPrice Finest at Tower 98 is the grocery stop for Northshore. Do not send anyone to Punggol Point Park. That deck is closed until 31 December 2027.
The official Punggol Digital District events calendar is empty again this week, including for 榜鹅海岸商场 2026年11月. Saturday's run is the dated thing with this mall's name on it. Christmas 2026 has not been listed. Last year's carnival was 20 December 2025. Wait for Punggol North CC or JTC before treating December as booked.
