Works Train Shunter

Rolls and Responsibility:

· Carry out duties of a WTO or WTS at depot or mainline tunnel or viaduct environment.

· Comply with the rules and regulations in accordance with the Works Train Manual.

· Ensure safe movement of EC/PV inside the Defined Areas in mainline or depot.

· Operate and direct the movement of the EC/PV under his charge within the Defined Area in a safe manner in accordance with the Works Train Manual.

· Assist the Works Train Controller/ Control Centres in shunting of EC/PV in the Defined Area.

· Take instructions from the Works Train Controller and consist person-in-charge for all the movements of rail vehicles.

Requirements:

· Minimum NTC 2/3, GCE O-level or equivalent qualifications

· Preferably have relevant past working experience in a railway environment and general construction safety knowledge or experience.

· Able to read and write English.

· Able to do any allocated shift of the three-rotating 8-hour shift duties.

· Able to do overtime work on a regular basis.

Able to work independently and take instructions from the WTCO.
