Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage the daily operations of our warehouse facility. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining safety and quality standards in our warehouse. You will also play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes and driving continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, ensuring high productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee the safe and efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce safe working practices.
- Handle equipment maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of warehouse machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to senior management.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, sales) to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Optimize warehouse processes for greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of orders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Forklift operation certification (preferred but not required).
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (as required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in warehouse settings.
