Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of marine cables and related components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, safety compliance, and timely dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching marine cables, drums, and accessories.
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff and forklift operators, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of marine cables to prevent damage, including drum stacking, cable coiling, and moisture protection.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to meet delivery schedules and project timelines.
- Operate company vehicles for deliveries when required, ensuring safe and professional transport of goods.
- Implement best practices for space optimization, cable traceability, and FIFO/LIFO inventory methods.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure compliance with industry-specific safety standards.
- Prepare reports on stock levels, warehouse performance, and operational KPIs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the marine cable, electrical, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with handling large heavy goods and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, workplace safety, and logistics regulations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations
- Forklift license
- Valid Driver license is a plus
