We are looking for a skilled and proactive Trade Ops Specialist to manage our futures trading operations and ensure healthy liquidity across all markets. While our operations headquarters is based in Singapore, we do not conduct business or offer any services—retail or institutional—to users in Singapore.
Role Summary
As a Trade Ops Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day futures trading operations and maintaining deep, stable liquidity across our exchange. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of crypto derivatives markets, and hands-on experience with liquidity management tools and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Futures Trading Operations
- Monitor and manage open positions, funding rates, and trading activity across all futures pairs.
- Analyze trade flow, user behavior, and market trends to optimize performance and trading dynamics.
- Coordinate with the product, risk, and tech teams to enhance features related to futures trading.
- Support operational efficiency through automation and process improvements.
Liquidity Management
- Ensure optimal liquidity across spot and derivatives markets to provide tight spreads and low slippage.
- Collaborate with external liquidity providers, market makers, and algorithmic trading systems.
- Configure and optimize market-making bots to maintain deep order books and competitive pricing.
- Monitor liquidity metrics such as depth, spread, volatility, and order execution quality.
Risk & Surveillance
- Monitor market volatility, trade anomalies, and liquidation activities to manage systemic risk.
- Implement guardrails and alerts to flag unusual trading activity or imbalance.
- Work with the risk team to ensure futures product parameters (e.g., leverage, margin, funding) align with market conditions.
Reporting & Insights
- Build reports and dashboards to track trading metrics, PnL, user behavior, and liquidity health.
- Provide actionable insights to senior management on trading performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to strategic discussions on product roadmap and trading features.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of experience in trading operations, derivatives trading, market making, or liquidity management, preferably within a crypto exchange or trading firm.
- In-depth understanding of crypto derivatives, perpetual futures, leverage mechanics, and funding rate systems.
- Experience working with trading APIs, data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL), and trading dashboards.
- Strong grasp of order book dynamics, market microstructure, and trading strategies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with market-making bots or liquidity management tools (e.g., Hummingbot, Kronos, proprietary systems).
- Quantitative or technical background in finance, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Exposure to algorithmic trading and automation of trading workflows.
- Familiarity with both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
