Senior System Analyst (BookMaster, RPG,AS400)

This role will be supporting BookMaster ERP applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using IBM i (AS/400) technologies: RPG, DB2/400, CL and SQL.
• Deliver scalable and reliable solutions based on business requirements.
• Provide timely support for enterprise applications, ensuring system availability and resolving incidents efficiently.
• Analyse root causes of issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement fixes with minimal disruption.
• Work closely and collaborate with business units to address operational needs and optimise ERP processes.
• Support and deliver application enhancement projects within timelines and quality standards.
• Manage tasks independently and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and follow IT processes, including audit and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or other related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in application development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in RPG, DB2/400, CL, SQL on IBM i (AS/400).
• Proven expertise in both development and support of enterprise applications.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage incidents under pressure and resolve issues independently.
• Experience with ERP, Sales Order, Finance and Distribution applications is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Exposure to IT audit processes and compliance is a plus.
