Senior Software Design Engineer

KLA services engineering is part of the service organization established to maintain the high performance and the productivity of KLA products through comprehensive services. We are looking for highly motivated self-driven individual with knowledge of data acquisitions, design of experiments, basic statistical methods, networks, communication protocols, programming languages, and ideally, equipment control or scientific instrumentation.

Job Description:

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including Systems, Software, Mechanical, Optical and Electrical engineers to drive designs that are quick to prototype
• Drive toward system-level testing to prove the concept of solutions in a timely manner
• Work with a team of engineers to provide innovative solutions that include software design, equipment simulation, cryptographic data protection for subsystems implementation
• Improve aspects of the designs through data / signal processing to make products more supportable and predictable

Requirements:

• Doctorate/Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ of experience in similar capacity
• Hands-on programming experience with computer languages, e.g., python, Labview, C, C++, Java, Linux.
• Data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Software documentation, design, implementation, debugging and testing skills.
• Strong analytical skill, system software/ hardware technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with Raspberry pi or microcontroller would be of advantage to the application.
• Good communication skills, perseverance, and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting or with individuals across different geographies.
