SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Main Role and Responsibilities

Planning and Design of Mechanical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client’s requirement.

Key Responsibilities

· Design of mechanical services such as Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation, Fire Protection, Medical gas, Compress Air and Sanitary and Plumbing System etc.

· Presentation of design concept report to client.

· Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme.

· Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation.

· Co-ordination of M&E services within the office.

· Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs.

· Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim.

· Liaise with main contractor, architect, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project.

· Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports.

· Managing of Designers

· Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following

- Site Assessment and Inspection

- Design development and co-ordination

- Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.

- Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.

· Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained.

· Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method

Statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to good industry practice.

· Provide feedbacks in the areas of Quality Control measures and corrective actions.

· Assist in company’s ISO system implementation and audit

· Other works as assigned by the company
