As a Retail Operation Manager for our chain of mini marts following jobs scope shall be expected. Jobs scope provided below is not exhaustive. You may request to work beyond this work scope as and when the business requires.
1. Purchases of targeted customers' groceries, spices, fresh vegetables and inventory by researching emerging product markets; anticipating buyer interest; negotiating volume price breaks; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Targeted customer group shall be of various ethnic groups living in Singapore.
2. Attracts customers by originating display ideas; following display suggestions or schedules; constructing or assembling prefabricated display properties; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases, and on sales floor.
3. Developing the existing business operations through various strategies like SWOT analysis, just in time, identifying business opportunities etc.,
4. Promotes sales of products consumed by various ethnic groups and immigrants’ communities (Spices, Groceries, vegetables and cosmetics) by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
5. Helps customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery.
6. Prepares sales and customer relations reports by analysing and categorizing sales information; identifying and investigating customer complaints and service suggestions.
7. Maintains a safe and clean store environment by developing and publishing evacuation routes; determining and documenting locations of potentially dangerous materials and chemicals.
8. Maintains inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels; anticipating customer demand.
9. Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.
10. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
11. Trains store staff by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; delivering training sessions; reviewing staff job results and learning needs with retail store manager; developing and implementing new product training.
12. Evaluates competition by visiting competing stores; gathering information such as style, quality, and prices of competitive merchandise.
13. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
