Motor Design Engineer

• Design and perform magnetic simulations for all motor types to optimize performance, efficiency and reliability.
• Engage in both conceptual and detailed design phases to support pre-sales and post-sales customer enquires as well as internal business unit requests.
• Develop assembly and component drawings (DFMA) and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Design test plans for proof of concept and prototype validation to ensure motors meet specifications.
• Collaborate with production team to troubleshoot and identify root causes for RMA motors.
• Work closely with local and overseas cross-functional teams including sales, machine shop, production, supply chain and external vendors to ensure timely project deliverables.
• Collaborate with China motor business units on new product development, production process improvement and other technical matters.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and/or any other relevant course of study.
• Preferably with 1-3 years of working experience in relevant engineering industry.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as Solidworks, NanoCAD and simulation software such as Motorsolve, Magnets and ANSYS.
• Strong foundation in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic time management skills with the ability to handle assigned task independently under limited supervision.
