Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Technical

  • Lead regional/global marine surveying & technical services.
  • Conduct marine surveying in Singapore to train, upskill, and audit local staff.
  • Provide technical support and training across APAC, Sub-Continent, Middle East, and other regions as needed.
  • Support business development in Singapore.
  • Market the marine business through regular customer visits in Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, India, and the Middle East.

Business Development & Management

  • Maintain a detailed log of marine business activities, including customer visits, enquiries, quotations, success rates, profit & loss, training, audits, and customer workshops/presentations.
  • Engage with staff to educate, develop, and drive Key Account Management for marine customers.
  • Manage marine surveying activities, ensuring high safety, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Collect and submit acquisition target data.
  • Stay updated with inspection and testing standards.
  • Initiate continuous improvements and identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide timely monthly sales and results reporting with Branch Managers.

Job Requirements / Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine surveying, marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field, or a valid Certificate of Competency (COC).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry, with at least 3 years in marine surveying or technical services.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime engineering, vessel systems, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, staff, and stakeholders across diverse regions.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to foster collaboration and drive performance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience to manage varied workloads, travel demands, and challenging environments.
  • Commitment to safety, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
