Responsibilities:
- Undertake preventive maintenance of passenger trains, in accordance to the work
instructions and procedures
- Undertake modification works and fleet wide checks, if required
- Shunt trains when necessary
- Support and assist Senior / Engineer in planning and scheduling of maintenance activities
- Undertake works in accordance with procedures and work instructions
- Perform works and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 practices
- Monitor the status of spare parts, equipment, availability of tools and provide daily maintenance logistic support if required
- Follow the maintenance instructions taught during training for all works carried out
- Alert supervisor of any defect or problem discovered during maintenance or inspection, which could affect the safe operation of trains
Requirements:
- Higher Nitec or Nitec in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering)
- Have strong commitment and strong sense of responsibility to area of work under his charge
- Possesses positive working attitude
- Able to work well in a team
- Have good initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Works well under pressure
- Able to work shifts
- Able to identify colours
