Head of Central Construction

This role act as a dedicated link between Central HUB & Asia for ST Construction projects. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Be the responsible to deploy worldwide EAC (Estimation At Completion) and Financial followup for the projects. - Review of project and participation to RFQ, bidding, company selection.

- Developing supplier base for Asia and characterization of the new technology under development (water, etc ….).

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

1. Deployment of EAC and Financial Follow-Up: Responsible for deploying worldwide Estimation At Completion (EAC) and conducting financial follow-ups for construction projects.

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, leading to effective budget management and financial accountability.

2. Project Review and Participation in RFQ and Bidding: Review project scopes, participate in Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, and assist in the bidding and company selection.

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Ensure the selection of qualified vendors and contractors, contributing to the successful execution of projects.

3. Development of Supplier Base and Characterization of New Technologies: Develop and maintain a robust supplier base in Asia and characterize new technologies under development (e.g., water treatment technologies).

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Enhance the quality and efficiency of construction projects through the integration of innovative technologies and reliable suppliers.

4. Management of Chongqing Joint Venture: Act as the Construction Manager for the Chongqing Joint Venture, overseeing the work of contractors such as Exyte.

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Ensure the successful completion of construction projects within the joint venture, meeting all project specifications and timelines.

5. Support to Local Asia Teams: Assist local Asia teams in escalating and resolving issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Facilitate smooth project operations and problem resolution, improving overall project efficiency and effectiveness

6. Cross-Sharing and Information Gathering with HUB CCFS: Facilitate cross-sharing of information and collaboration with the HUB CCFS (e.g., gathering information for new back-end fabs in Catania from existing fabs like Shenzhen).

EXPECTED END-RESULTS: Ensure effective knowledge transfer and collaboration, leading to informed decision making and project success.

• Central HUB: Regular communication and coordination to align on project goals and updates.

• Finance and Procurement Departments: Coordination for financial tracking, RFQ processes, and supplier management.

• Suppliers and Contractors: Engagement and management of suppliers and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Joint Venture Partners: Coordination and management of joint venture projects, ensuring alignment with ST's construction standards and objectives.

The Asia Construction Coordinator serves as a dedicated link between the Central HUB and Asia for ST Construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects across the region by managing financials, supplier relationships, and project coordination.
