Job Purpose
An Executive, Ops Development plays an important role in supporting the NSEWL Train Operations department to ensure a safe and reliable journey for commuters. He/she will be in charge of developing and sustaining employee engagement, preparing and analysing department reports, tracking and evaluating of key information. He/she may take on projects to enhance the operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Engagement
- Plan and organize employee engagement events
- Arrange Union engagement sessions with Train Ops Management
- Manage and moderate department Workplace By Facebook page
- Responsible for remote content management of digital signages at staff rest areas
- Liaise with other departments for awards and media engagement
Preparation and Analysis
- Consolidate and analyse department reports for presentation
- Consolidate monthly incentive deductions for submission
- Develop, maintain and present data visualizations, such as dashboards, charts and graphs for visibility, in areas such as rail engineering performance
Tracking
- Track department KPIs and completion rates (KAIZEN projects, ground engagement and feedback, vulnerable staff, etc.)
- To coordinate and align Train Ops procedures and documents
- To schedule and propose appropriate reviews for Train Ops
- Conduct internal procedural and documental audits where required
Operations Enhancement Projects
- Take on or lead projects to enhance the operations, improve operation, processes or to better the training with the incorporation of technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI)
General
- Undertake any other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Work Experience
- Degree in any discipline
- Experience in Operations or data analytical field of work / exposure is an advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerBI
- Good inter-personal and communication skills, able to work independently as well as in a team environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Detail-orientated and highly organized
- Must be highly motivated and able to work under pressure and handle stress
- Able to think and analyse systematically
- Comfortable with Big Data analysis as well as raw data log
