Blood Patient Assistant (Locum) | 3 days per week

Duration: 1 year

Location: Dhoby Ghaut/ Outram/ Punggol

Working Hours: Weekday 11.30am to 9pm; Weekends 9am to 5pm

*Must be flexible to work on shift

Responsibilities:

Blood Donor Registration

• Verify donor identity and particulars Register donors in the Blood Bank Computer System
• Ensure donor eligibility and check for outstanding deferrals
• Verify and affix correct donor details on printed labels
• Issue queue tickets for registered donors

Quantitative Haemoglobin (Hb)

• Estimation and Weight Taking
• Verify donor registration and weigh the donor
• Perform Hb testing and record readings
• Provide explanation and advice if donor does not meet Hb criteria
• Perform maintenance of Hb measuring meters and weighing scales

Donor Care

• Handle donor enquiries
• Assist donors in booking appointments
• Print and prepare DHAQ forms
• Issue and track car park redemption tickets

Donor Linking

• Accurately enter phlebotomy and blood collection results
• Check system entries against the number of blood units collected
• Securely store all DHAQ forms at the end of the session
