Responsibilities

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, IT Projects to lead the delivery of IT projects for APAC Transportation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed project plans, charters, roadmaps, program estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Key responsibilities include scheduling regular project meetings, tracking program progress, and providing analysis. The role also involves offering IT thought leadership and driving continuous improvement in IT delivery performance. Additionally, the candidate will establish regular cadence for project comms with key stakeholders, including country/cluster CIOs, the Regional Office and Business.

• End to end delivery of key IT implementation projects.
• Provide regular visibility and stakeholder status updates related to all program of aligned work.
• Drive process improvement in project delivery and change management.
• Regularly review the status of all projects within the program and ensure that all issues and risks associated with scope, resource, timelines and budget are effectively managed, escalating timeously where deemed necessary.
• Deliver individual project on time, to requirements and to budget, escalating issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Transport IT Project Delivery Champion in the APAC IT Project Delivery cohort.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience including Project Management, Operations Management, and/or IT Experience
• Experience in planning major projects, including development of project proposals, business cases, project schedules, financial justification
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant business or technical subject. (E.g., Logistics, Project Management, IT, Industrial Engineering.)
• PMP or Prince2 certification is an added advantage
• Strong communication and organizational skills to clearly articulate ideas and project updates to diverse stakeholders while effectively organizing tasks and priorities to ensure smooth project execution
• Good problem-solving skills in identifying challenges and analyzing situations to develop effective, innovative solutions that drive project success
• Effective negotiation skills with stakeholders and vendors
